The primary goal of Innovative Photography Competition is for students to aware about the Innovation & Real Life Problems related in the sector of agriculture, health care, rural development, energy and environment & miscellaneous categories.

Basic Rules & Evaluation Criteria:
Round 1 Pre Submission Round Deadline 16th/Nov/2019 ( Saturday )
Themes: Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Health Care, Rural Development, Miscellaneous
Participants have to mail their photos in the prescribed format (JPEG) or PNG files jagriti.negi@ggi.ac.in , innovationcellggi@gmail.com also they have to submit hard-copy size (Landscape 8x10 inches) at A-114, Block A, GGI Ludhiana or Journalism and Mass Communication Staff Room First Floor , Block A .
Camera and file type specification
1. Entries must be digital images. Each entrant may submit a maximum of three images to the competition.
2. Images should be submitted as high resolution JPEGs or PNG files no larger than 10 MB. Please keep copies of all your original and resized images safe. If you are successful in being short listed, we may request your original file for further judging and reproduction purposes. If the original file is not received, the image may be disqualified from the competition.
3. There are no restrictions on the type of camera/Smartphone used but it should be noted that most of the judging criteria will be focused on the composition of the image. The original file should be the best quality as you can achieve with your equipment, images from camera phones and other mobile devices are encouraged.
Intellectual Property Rights
1. Submitted photos must be original, created and/or taken by the contestant. It must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party for which you have not obtained a license, must not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
2. We respect photographer’s copyrights and copyrights shall remain vested with the creator of the image. Upon making the submission, you grant us, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free,
sub-licensable right and license to use, publish, reproduce, display, perform, adapt, create derivative works, distribute, have distributed, print, in whole or in part, in any form, in all media forms now or hereafter known, to promote the contest, image, the photographer or for editorial or educative use.
3. The photographer shall be credited wherever the image is used.
Submission Guidelines (Team Size – Max 2 members)
1. Participants have to submit 1 photo for each of the theme given. Multiple photos (maximum 3) for same theme is also permissible.
2. Participants have to mail their photos on jagriti.negi@ggi.ac.in , innovationcellggi@gmail.com also they have to submit hard-copy of the photos at A-114, Block A, GGI Ludhiana or Journalism and Mass Communication Staff Room First Floor , Block A .
3. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
4. Submit the entries in the prescribed format (JPEG) or PNG files and hard-copy size (Landscape 8x10 inches).
5. Participants are required to provide a unique title, photo description & camera description for each image submitted. (Compulsory)
-Please mention your Name, Place and Branch at the back of the picture. Don’t mention anything on the front of the picture. If do then the entry should be discarded.
6. All submitted photos must contain appropriate caption. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
7. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
8. A participant who submits any such photos may be permanently banned, subject to Virtual discretion, from participating in any future contests.
9. Editing and special effects are not allowed using any graphics and software. However, basic cropping is accepted.
10. A picture can be used for promotional and exhibition purpose
Round 2 Idea Pitching Round (Shortlisted form Round 1) on 18th/November 2019 01:30pm to 03:00 pm, A-125, Block A
Basic Rules:
· Time Allowed: 5 minutes
· Language: Hindi or English only
· Only Shortlisted Team from Round 1 permitted to pitch their own Point of view of their on the innovative themed photograph.
Evaluation Criteria:
· Closure to the theme [25 Marks]
· Language Proficiency [ 25 Marks]
· Delivery and Posture [ 25 Marks]
· General Effectiveness [ 25 Marks]
